       The film's plot is based on the real-life events of June 15, 2020, in the Galwan Valley, Ladakh, near the Line of Actual Control (LAC). 
       Due to prior agreements prohibiting the use of firearms in the border region, the confrontation escalated into brutal, hand-to-hand combat using makeshift weapons like sticks and stones. The story revolves around the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers of the 16 Bihar Regiment, led by Colonel B. Santosh Babu (Salman Khan). The immediate trigger was reportedly China's objection to India's construction of a strategically important road in the region. When diplomacy failed, a routine patrol turned into a fierce battle for territorial integrity and honor, where around 200 Indian soldiers defended their position against a larger Chinese force. The narrative captures the intense standoff, the emotional sacrifices made, and the resilience of the Indian Armed Forces in the high-altitude terrain, which resulted in fatalities on both sides (20 Indian soldiers and reportedly 4 Chinese soldiers).

The event is a significant moment in modern Indian military history and the film aims to be a powerful, patriotic tribute to the soldiers involved.

        To ensure high-octane action sequences of global standards, director Siddharth Anand has assembled a top-tier international action design team, some of whom have worked on films like Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning and Extraction 2.         

        Principal photography began in May 2025 in Mumbai's Mehboob Studios. Filming has also taken place in international locations like Warsaw, Poland, where dialogue-heavy and dramatic scenes were shot.         

        The film's shoot faced some delays due to script revisions and creative decisions. During filming in July 2025, Shah Rukh Khan suffered a muscular injury while performing action sequences and had to take a break for medical attention.

        The title reveal of the film was released on 2 November 2025, coinciding with Khan's 60th birthday.
